Home Minority Chief Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) introduced in a letter to his GOP colleagues on Monday that the Home Republican Convention will likely be voting on whether or not to oust Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) as convention chair on Wednesday.
Within the letter obtained by Punchbowl Information’ Jake Sherman, McCarthy claimed that “in contrast to the left, we embrace free thought and debate” — as he was laying out the method of stripping somebody’s management function for not falling consistent with the GOP’s false narrative claiming the 2020 election was illegitimate.
“All members are elected to symbolize their constitutions as they see match, however our management group can’t afford to be distracted from the necessary work we have been elected to do and the shared objectives we hope to realize,” he wrote.
“Having heard from so lots of you in latest days, it’s clear that we have to make a change. As such, you must anticipate a vote on recalling the Convention Chair this Wednesday.” pic.twitter.com/P0Euyl2wM3
